I’ve spent my career helping people make hard decisions, manage risk, and act responsibly when the stakes are high, from inside city government and large public companies to small businesses where every decision counts, and consequences are real.
About Me
About District 3
Now, I’m bringing that experience home to District 3 to help guide Costa Mesa's next chapter with steady, practical leadership rooted in real life.
I’ve called Costa Mesa home for the better part of a decade. Even during periods when work or family commitments pulled me elsewhere, this was the place I hurried back to.
I chose to build my life and my businesses here because of what’s possible in this community. Our people, their energy, and our shared belief that hard work and good ideas should have room to grow.
Costa Mesa isn’t just where I live; it’s where I’ve invested my time, my livelihood, and my future. Through my professional work, I’ve also championed economic development for Costa Mesa. I understand how a strong local economy supports neighborhoods, creates opportunity, and makes a city work better for everyone.
This city has given me opportunities. I’m committed to helping protect and expand that opportunity for the people who call Costa Mesa home.
My background gives me a practical advantage because I’ve seen how decisions play out in real life.
-
As a journalist, I learned that accountability protects people and that asking the right questions matters.
-
Inside city government, I learned how good ideas move forward and where they get stuck.
-
As a small-business owner, I learned how delays, red tape, and uncertainty hit real livelihoods.
-
And in large organizations, I learned that leadership only matters when there’s follow-through and accountability.
I’m currently Vice Chair of Costa Mesa’s Animal Services Committee and previously contributed to the Fairview Park Steering Committee. I also sit on the Board of Governors for the Irvine Valley College Foundation and the Board of Directors of the Golden West College Foundation, and I'm a founding leader of Boardvance, a OneOC-fiscally sponsored social impact initiative.
This mix matters because moving a city forward requires understanding how decisions land in real life, not just how they sound on paper.
